The traditional tuxedo jacket is made of wool and is single-breasted. The jacket lapels are traditionally covered with satin, with satin buttons, trousers made of the same wool, side seams with satin ribbon matching the lapel, a white shirt and linked cuffs, a black bow tie, cummerbund, and patent leather shoes.
